Happy National Day

This is like nothing I have ever seen before it my life. Dubai is quite literally painted red, green, black and white. I got caught on Jumeriah Beach Road this afternoon and luckily I had my camera handy. They were all in good spirits, well behaved and very proud. I saw police pulling a few people over and there was one car in particular that I wish I could have gotten a photo of except the police was right there- Even the front windscreen was completely covered and they had feather boars lining the car in the national colours. Lots of beeping, lots of happy bangs and cheers. I can't really put it all in words.

My camera was well recieved by the men in the spray painted land cruiser (I think thats teh first car photo)- allow me to say that again- spray painted. They were all so excited-its quite nice- its like hoons in hooted up cars but with no attitude.
